Motto

They've misread my words for years now my dear,
And exchanged my face for a mask.
So I juggle through my roles and lie through my ears
And stage others' stories till dark.

Sad (and lonely) to feel misunderstood and forced to wear a mask.

It's hard to live a life based on lies but for some people, it's their reality ~

Misreading of one's face and words is so hard. I think we are all forced to wear a mask at times but I hope not too often.

Sometimes the shorter poems are the most intriguing. I would say that is the case with this one!

Assumptions are often wrong, as you deftly remind us.

The slightly off-meter and near rhyme of this made me laugh as form forced content into view. Witty and cool.

'juggle through my roles' I so identify with that. Deeply felt write.

Perhaps it is easier to not make oneself clear.... Intriguing poem.

ah, that was very powerful. the last line went so deep that one could peel away layer after layer and still find depth. very well-written, Abin
