Ulysses Redux

My days pass as
A series of empty halls
Where the silence confers
With dark echoes
Beyond the bustle of the teeming street.

The compass fails to map
The deepening depths of
Silent seas
From where no spirit shall
Rise and guide in dreams
My ships to throbbing shores.

O Father have you forgotten me?!

Voyage without end -
Parched passion, in dry eyes.

"The heart can think of no devotion
Greater than being shore to ocean"

Robert Frost said this.Honest! The poem is called Devotion.I think the first two lines are very very pertinent.Frost only helped me to misread the poem as a plea for finding the shore of Love.So it is a love poem :D Young Ulysses wants Devotion. :) Hope he has found his shore. Besties!
