Our poems amid stars exchange their codes
And send to my soul the seeds of new odes.So I read up my Keats as you hone your Plath
And hope someday for a crossing in our path
Where free from the shackles of history and age
I, in your eyes, may turn a new page
And write new lines of an autumnal hymn
To heal those wounds so deep and grim.
Meanwhile my lips a parched spring endure
As I hanker, a fool, in silence, unsure.

This is wonderfully written, Abin!
What comes to mind for me is also T.S. Eliot and the beginning of the Wasteland "April is the cruelest month" in the last couplet
Meanwhile my lips a parched spring endure
As I hanker, a fool, in silence, unsure.
Ah yes, write write write
Happy Sunday
Much❤love
Once they leave our pen, our words do, indeed, turn into something else. Remembering that something can be a good thing always fills me with good feelings... reminds me that wonderful things can be re-imagined on "a new page".

Beautiful, immaculately well metered piece - a treat to read, Abin... Thank you - I will be back to see what you come up with next... Regards Scott
Stellar closing lines, Abin. It's so nice to see you back in the Pantry with us. Happy Sunday!💝
Sherry! So good to see your comment. I was wondering where the likes of Kerry, Marian or Mary were. Nice to know you are still writing and encouraging as before. Thank you.
There's something wonderful in honing your craft alongside a friend. Your styles and approaches can vary wildly, but the camaraderie between artists can be so enriching.
As I'm preparing to move and see my notebooks filled with my essays and poems, I can't help but wonder if some day my children will say "Did the woman ever shut up!" But, for those of us who must write, write we must!!
This is so beautifully written!
So I read up my Keats as you hone your Plath
And hope someday for a crossing in our path - very nicely done!
Beautiful write. Ah, that pen is indeed the route to the right words.
Yes, poetry can do all that – and more.
Yes there is that moment of indecision whether this is the right one or not. However something inside will tell you...so long as you too have the right motifs!
